Welcome

Hello, welcome to GooseBump City. This is a world of toys (made before, and much better than, Toy Story :p) that interact with each other in their own and surrounding cities.
You are welcome to visit, watch, and chat any time you want, though you may only get answers from the least rude of toys. I, Jpac, will not hesitate to respond, even when not directly addressed.

It's been a long time coming, but regular updates can finally be expected. Updates will be each Monday. Some of these comics have been sitting back in our studios (that's what I call the space under our beds) collecting dust up until their final release. You will notice the absense of dust marks due to our digital enhancement methods. There are more than a few people who should be credited for the creation and continuation of this strip, none of whom will be mentioned right now. (Is whom correct?)

AUTHORS

The main and current authors of this comic are JPAC and AVEM. I decided to start placing an annoying blue background behind my speech. I made a rose background for AVEM. I primarily write the comic while AVEM illustrates, berates, and edits my writings. I'm her brother. She's my sister. There are others but they're not here right now so.
Visit her Deviant Art profile. "Watches and favs make me feel better about myself"~AVEM
I want recognition too!

BACKGROUND

The City

GooseBump City is hometown to hundreds of toys who have made their living, notoriety, infamy or otherwise lost themselves under the bed. The city is sectioned into five areas, North, South, East and West and the town square, each with a character of their own. To the North there are only two major permanent fixtures, one of two city libraries and the North Side Mansion. Traditionally, the latter is the residence of Buddy Bear. The South side has the other library, a smaller 4 story apartment and a "long table", two story residential/commercial district. The West Side is the "Beverly Hills" of GooseBump City. It has the White House, hospital, a table similar to the South's and a few houses and businesses. Last and surely least is the east side AKA "Marble Palace". It consisted of 4 floors which eventually became 5. The whole 3rd floor is devoted to the GooseBump City army, a casino, homes and hotels. In reality, GooseBump City is a room in our home where all the shelves, tables, beds carpet and closet have been sectioned into homes, places of business or other random venues. Each bedroom is another city.

In addition to GooseBump City there are three other cities, Powerwood, Tropical Island and Tropical City. Powerwood is the home of Iron Man and his infamous Scum Squad. The city goes through alternating ages of peace and war with GooseBump City. Tropical Island is a peaceful zone where war and pain are impossible (though the cost of living might empty your wallet). It is owned and ran by Betty Bear, Buddy Bear's sister. Tropical City is also ran by Betty Bear but is more of a neutral zone and resort community that supplies most of the food to the other three cities.

The Characters

Actually...they'll get their own page

Rebirth and Rebirth and Rebirth

Due to a mix of natural periodic waning of interest and occasional chaotic development, sometimes the only way to set things right in the city are a hard reset (think Babylon or "Plan B" in the Simpson’s). All the toys reregister, have their money divvied, buy their homes and start anew.
Our story actually begins around the 5th or 6th age (Unfortunately the oldest records of GooseBump City are locked away on a 2 gigabyte hard drive in Corel WordPerfect files. I've been much too lazy to recover them.) Since you don't know who belongs to what age though we will merrily bring characters together outside of chronological order!

The Government

This is one of the first institutions we present to you because it belongs in the restart of every city. The beginning involves everyone electing their politicians. (And instead of those pesky political parties we have species!)

The Concept

When we were but wee littluns, or at least younger than we are now, we would give most of our toys personalities as soon as we got them and make them all interact with each other (not unlike other children). Our parents would always say "Why don't you set up a city with your toys?" One day we acted on this advice and began a world unlike any other...well I guess Toy Story comes close but I swear it has nothing to do with us. Thanks Mom and Dad.
